Per-token settlement in USDT, explained

No seats, no invoices, no monthly minimum. How a single request becomes a few thousandths of a dollar on-chain, and where each fraction of it goes.

Mei TanakaHead of Network

On Topo you pay for exactly the tokens you use, in the currency you hold. A wallet tops up with USDT, ETH or SOL, each API key draws from it with its own spend limit, and every request settles on its own.

The life of 0.0041 USDT

  1. 01The router prices the request from the model’s per-token rate.
  2. 02Tokens are metered on the node and again at the gateway as they stream.
  3. 03Once the output is verified, the amount is debited and split.
  4. 04Splits are batched on-chain on Base or Solana, with a receipt per request.

Operators keep up to 85% of every bill and are paid daily in USDT. The rest funds attestors and the network. Paying in TOPO instead of USDT takes 20% off the same request.

Why per request

Rolling every call into a monthly invoice hides what each agent step costs. Settling per request makes that price visible, and it is the number teams actually need when they tune prompts, models and routing.
